‘Monumental’ Stories — Cat Curator Colouring Competition Winning Entries Exhibition

Through ‘Monumental’ Stories — Cat Curator Colouring Competition held in 2022/23, Cat Curator led all primary school students to appreciate four historic buildings which have been declared as monuments that are being used or was used for teaching and learning.  They include Kang Yung Study Hall, a traditional Chinese study hall; the Former Kowloon British School established for expatriate children; the Main Building of The University of Hong Kong, witnessing the development of local higher education in the past century; and Bonham Road Government Primary School, which was the former campus of the first teacher training college in Hong Kong.

The Antiquities and Monuments Office and Cat Curator are pleased to see the wide participation of students in the competition.  The winning entries were selected by the adjudication panel out of more than 15,000 entries from 155 schools according to the three assessment criteria, i.e. colouring skills and use of colour, creativity and holistic artistic expression.  All the winning entries and entries entered into the final stage of assessment are displayed for public appreciation.
