A thematic exhibition entitled “Under the Same Roof: Origin and Art of Lingnan Traditional Architecture” is currently staged at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre (HDC) of the Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO). As the Easter holidays are approaching, AMO is organising the “Easter Fun Day: Unveiling the aesthetic features of Lingnan traditional architecture” to enhance the public’s interest in and awareness of the Lingnan traditional architecture through edutainment.

Activities include:

1. “Search for Lingnan Traditional Architecture Easter Eggs"
Special gifts are ready for participants who can get all the ”Easter Eggs” related to the exhibits displayed in the exhibition gallery.

2. “Colourful Lingnan Traditional Architecture Badge Making ” Workshop
Participants are welcome to choose favorite features of Lingnan traditional architecture for making exclusive badges for themselves.

3. “Butterfly Mask Handicraft Workshop ”
Butterfly is one of the auspicious patterns of Lingnan traditional architecture.  Masks in butterfly shape are ready for participants to make their unique masterpieces by using colour pens and stickers, etc.

4. “Colour the Lingnan Traditional Architecture Easter Eggs ”
Unleashing your unlimited creativity by colouring Easter eggs with Lingnan traditional architectural features!

5. “Check-in Spot for Mini Shrine ”
It’s definitely worthwhile to take photographs of the Blackwood shrine model and three-dimensional printed shrine model.  Special gift will be given to participants who share these photos on social media!

6. “Mini-Guqin Concert @Under the Same Roof  ”
Live performance at 3:00 – 3:15pm and 4:30 – 4:45pm at the Thematic Exhibition Gallery, HDC.
