Many old buildings have been demolished in the process of urban development, but the historic buildings that have been conserved, either for their original use or in revitalised form for other functions, continue to bear witness to the eras in which they were constructed and to their long-standing relationship with the local community.
This exhibition is organised by the Antiquities and Monuments Office. Selecting more than 30 historic buildings and comparing their original appearance in their heyday with how they look today from similar angles, the exhibition allows us not only to discover the changes that have been made to their exterior, but also to reflect on our changing relationships with these buildings over the different eras.
