To love our heritage! Action today! Let’s join AMO YFOH Team !

The Antiquities and Monuments Office has launched a programme, Young Friends of Heritage (YFOH) Scheme” since 2004. The aim of the Scheme is to promote the importance of heritage conservation to the younger generation and to educate them to value our heritage. We cordially invite the secondary school students to join. Up till now, we have recruited over 150 members. Besides performing as docents, YFOH had organized guided visits, joined the “Heritage Reporter”, and created a webpage of their own in order to share their views with others.

We are now recruiting 40 S 1 students in the school year of 2009-2010. A series of training courses will be provided to members during summer holidays which include lectures, workshops, guided visits to heritage trails etc. YFOH are encouraged to attend all training programme and required to submit a group project and will continue to participate in heritage promotion work and voluntary services after the training. We cordially invite secondary school teachers to nominate 1 to 4 students to attend our interview in early July 2010.
