Friends of Heritage and Young Friends of Heritage are now open for application all year round

Since 1982, the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) has designated 18 April as the "International Day for Monuments and Sites".  Each year on this occasion, ICOMOS encourages organisations from all over the world to organise activities related to heritage to promote the importance of heritage conservation to the public.

On the "International Day for Monuments and Sites" this year, i.e. 18 April 2022, the Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO) announces that from now on, the Friends of Heritage Scheme and Young Friends of Heritage Scheme will be open for application throughout the year and with no quota limits.  AMO also invites local secondary schools through emails to nominate their students who are interested in learning and promoting heritage to sign up for the Young Friends of Heritage.  Please visit our FOH webpage and YFOH webpage for details.

Let’s join hands to discover and learn more about the heritage of Hong Kong, put our efforts in conserving our heritage and pass on the invaluable heritage to our future generations.
