The Reference Library is located on G/F of the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre. It provides reference materials on Hong Kong history, archaeology, heritage conservation, museology, architecture and other heritage-related subjects.
Members of the public can access our Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) for our collection through the Internet or the workstations at the Reference Library.
Services Provided
All reference materials in our collection are not for lending. However, the public may freely read books, periodicals and other heritage-related publications inside the Reference Library. Reservation in advance is necessary for viewing closed stack reference materials (such as research files, study reports and audio-visual materials). Some of the reference materials may not be available for viewing, reproduction and/ or photocopying due to copyright and other concerns. Closed on Thursdays (except public holidays), and the first two days of Chinese New Year
