Barrier Free Facilities

To strive for a barrier free museum, the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre is committed to providing equal access for all to ensure that everyone can fully participate and enjoy their visits to the museum. We shall pay attention to the needs and limitations of persons with disabilities in using venue facilities and to offer them suitable assistance.

Currently, barrier free facilities and services provided at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre include:

  • Barrier free ramp at the main entrance
  • Tactile guide path and braille and tactile floor plan at the foyer
  • Braille evacuation plan at the lift lobbies of all levels
  • Information counter suitable for wheelchair users
  • Assistive listening system at the information counter and Lecture Hall
  • Designated spaces convenient for wheelchair users at Lecture Hall
  • Braille and tactile markings and audible signal in passenger lift
  • Accessible toilet at the foyer
