The Antiquities and Monuments Office (“AMO”) now invites Forms 3 to 6 (or equivalent) students in Hong Kong to join the 5th Cultural Heritage Summer Course for Secondary School Students of the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao SARs to be held from 12 to 17 August 2023 in Sichuan province.
The summer course is jointly presented by National Cultural Heritage Administration, Development Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, and jointly organised by China Cultural Property Promotion Association, Sichuan Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration and AMO.
This 6-day cultural heritage summer course aims at enhancing the participants’ understanding of cultural heritage conservation and inheritance. Through the lectures to be delivered by scholars and experts as well as fieldwork, participants can understand the pluralistic origins of the integrated Chinese civilization. The course can also deepen the cultural exchange amongst Hong Kong, Macao and the Mainland. After completing the course, participants will be presented a Certificate of Completion. Fee: | No course fee required. Local transportation, meals, accommodation and travel insurance during the course will be provided by National Cultural Heritage Administration. Participants are required to arrange and pay transportation cost from Hong Kong to Chengdu and vice versa. |
