Commemorative Activities for the Centenary of 1911 Revolution
The year 2011 marks the centenary of China’s 1911 Revolution. The Antiquities and Monuments Office organizes the following special lectures to join in celebration of the centenary. The lectures will be held at the Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre. The lectures will be conducted in Cantonese. Free admission and all are welcome.

Docent Services at Fortified Structure at Ha Pak Nai
The Fortified Structure at No.55 Ha Pak Nai was declared as a monument in June 2011. It was built by Mr. Tang Yam-nam who actively participated in the revolutionary movements led by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in the early 20th century. Outside the Structure, docents will lead the participants to appreciate the architectural features of the monuments and reminisce about the life of Mr. Tang in relation to the Revolution (interior of the Structure is not opened at the moment). Details of the docent services are as below:
Docent Service for Public
From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on 10 October 2011 (Monday). First come, first served. Docent Service will be conducted in Cantonese.
