Meow! It’s story time! Are you sitting comfortably? Then let’s listen to some fascinating stories about antiquities and monuments that you won’t have heard before! The Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO) has invited the story-telling cat who always appears at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre to be our “Cat Curator” to share with you some stories about the antiquities and historic buildings in Hong Kong to help you get a better understanding and appreciation of our city’s cultural heritage.

In the 'Monumental’ Stories — Cat Curator Colouring Competition held this school year, Cat Curator led all primary school students to appreciate four historic buildings which have been declared as monuments that are being or was used for teaching.  They include Kang Yung Study Hall, a traditional Chinese private study hall; the Former Kowloon British School built for expatriate children; the Main Building of The University of Hong Kong, the starting point for the development of local higher education in the last century; and Bonham Road Government Primary School, which was the former campus of the first teacher training college in Hong Kong.
