Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

Constructed from 1883 to 1888, the Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is an imposing building in a cruciform shape with a tower at the intersection of the cross. It is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Hong Kong. The cathedral underwent renovation in 2002 in a project that was awarded the Honourable Mention in the 2003 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Culture Heritage Conservation.
