Duddell Street Steps and Gas Lamps

Duddell Street Steps and Gas Lamps

The granite steps leading from Duddell Street to Ice House Street were constructed between 1875 and 1889. The four gas lamps have been the only surviving gas lamps in Hong Kong since 1967 to provide street lighting service. The granite steps and gas lamps were declared monuments in 1979.
