Established in 1900 by Chen Shaobai on the orders of Dr Sun Yat-sen to publish propaganda against the Qing government, the China Daily also provided a meeting place for the Xing Zhong Hui (Hsing Chung Hui or Revive China Society). This historic site is now marked by the Dr Sun Yat-sen Historical Trail. (A memorial artwork installed at 19 Stanley Street)
