'Monumental’ Stories — Cat Curator Colouring Competition

The Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO) invites all primary school students in Hong Kong to participate the ‘Monumental’ Stories — Cat Curator Colouring Competition. The competition aims to encourage students to learn outside classroom through stories, to understand more and appreciate more of our cultural heritage, including the declared monuments that are being or was used for teaching.

Our Cat Curator will join you to appreciate four historic buildings which have been declared as monuments that are being or was used for teaching. They are Kang Yung Study Hall, a traditional Chinese private study hall; the Former Kowloon British School built for foreign children; The Main Building of The University of Hong Kong, the starting point for the development of local higher education in the last century; and Bonham Road Government Primary School, which was the former campus of the first teacher training college in Hong Kong. The competition is divided into Junior Primary Division and Senior Primary Division. Each division will have one champion, one first runner-up, one second runner-up and ten merit awards. Prizes will be awarded to all winners.

The competition starts now until 6:00 pm on 21 April 2023. Please see here for details.
