Pok Fu Lam Road
The Elliot Pumping Station and Filters – together with two buildings providing staff quarters – were constructed in the early 20th century to treat raw water from the Pok Fu Lam Reservoir and were later used as auxiliary waterworks for the Aberdeen Reservoir to filter and channel water to the western part of Hong Kong Island. The station was decommissioned in 1993, with most of the facilities demolished except for the treatment works building and staff quarters. The single-storey red-brick Workmen’s Quarters and the Senior Staff Quarters, a two-storey granite residence in a Western style, now form part of the Centennial Campus of The University of Hong Kong.
